Monday, April 23, 2007, Kansas City, Missouri: Meniere’s Resources, Inc. (MRI) proudly announces that Governor Matt Blunt of Missouri has officially proclaimed May 5, 2007, as “Meniere’s Disease Awareness Day.” MRI is very pleased and excited that the Governor has declared a day to recognize this rare disease. Meniere’s Disease is an inner ear disorder that is characterized by episodic violent rotational vertigo affecting balance, tinnitus (ringing or roaring), sensation of fullness/pressure, and hearing loss. The cause is unknown and the disease is incurable but MRI’s goal is to increase awareness of this disabling disease and provide assistance to those who are in need.
Meniere’s Resources, Inc. Launches Its First Meniere’s Disease Awareness
Monday, April 23, 2007, Kansas City, Missouri: Meniere’s Resources, Inc. is a non-profit organization with the mission of increasing Meniere’s Disease awareness and providing support for those who suffer from Frvestibular disorders. MRI is hosting its 1st Meniere’s Disease Awareness Walk-A-Thon on Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, The Hammond Student Center, 1–3pm. The expected attendance is approximately 50 walkers including some who have Meniere’s Disease. There is no set distance for the walk. The cost is free for all those who wish to walk to create awareness for this disabling vestibular disorder.
